Apple and IBM announced the availability of the first made-for-business apps designed for iPhones and iPads on Dec. 10, 2014. The apps include Passenger+ (above), which allows airline flight crews to offer personalized, in-flight services to passengers.

"Man vs. Machine"
An artificial intelligence computer system developed by IBM, Watson the computer is capable of answering questions that are posed in natural language. In 2011, as a test of its abilities, Watson competed on the quiz show Jeopardy!, in the show's first and only human-versus-machine match.
